Gaia Data Release 4 scheduled
node
ESA has scheduled Data Release 4 for December 2026: the first release covering all data types for the full nominal five and a half year mission, described as around 500 terabytes, with the final legacy catalogue not expected before the end of the decade. This is a published programme schedule, not a prediction about what the data will show. As of August 2026 it has not yet occurred and the date should be re-checked.
A node is not a place. Drawing it on a map would assert something about the world that no stored fact supports.

- Supports the 15 January 2025 end of science observations, the 27 March 2025 passivation, the December 2026 planned date for Data Release 4 and the description of DR4 as covering all data types for the full nominal mission.
