Yaroslavsky Station, Moscow
node · earth
The Moscow departure point for the Trans-Siberian, and the zero of the kilometre count that ends at the 9288 stele in Vladivostok. The Rossiya, numbered train 1 eastbound and 2 westbound, leaves from here on alternate days and reaches the Pacific in about six days over roughly 9,259 timetabled kilometres, calling at some sixty stations. That the timetabled figure is a few dozen kilometres short of the famous marker is not an error in either: alignments have been rebuilt, and the monument commemorates a distance the modern route no longer exactly runs.

V55 verification basis: the substance was carried in an attributed search result naming Britannica; the page itself could not be fetched, as britannica.com is refused by this environment's egress proxy.
