NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman announced that Artemis III would no longer attempt a lunar landing and would instead fly a crewed rendezvous, docking and systems-integration demonstration in low Earth orbit with one or both commercial Human Landing Systems. The first crewed landing moved to Artemis IV, no earlier than 2028.
