High-risk obligations under the AI Act become applicable

Under the amended timetable, obligations for Annex III stand-alone high-risk systems apply from 2 December 2027, and for Annex I embedded systems from 2 August 2028. This is a date fixed in law as of August 2026 — a declared deadline, not a prediction about what will happen on it. Whether the harmonised standards exist by then is a separate and currently open question, and nothing in this record should be read as forecasting either the standards or a further deferral.

Planned — a programme target or declared plan, from a source that declared it. Never a prediction.
