The INF Treaty is signed in Washington

node

Reagan and Gorbachev signed a treaty abolishing all ground-launched ballistic and cruise missiles with ranges between five hundred and five thousand five hundred kilometres, together with their launchers, under verification arrangements including on-site inspection and continuous monitoring at production plants. It was the first agreement to eliminate a class of nuclear weapons rather than limit one, and the cuts were asymmetric, falling more heavily on the Soviet side.

A node is not a place. Drawing it on a map would assert something about the world that no stored fact supports.

  23. Supports the signature date, the 500–5,500 km range band, the elimination of an entire class of weapons and the on-site inspection regime. V55 verification basis: NOT consulted; the number of missiles eliminated is deliberately not quoted anywhere in this pack.
