The Page curve is reproduced from within semiclassical gravity
node
Independent groups showed that including previously neglected saddle points in the gravitational path integral - configurations that came to be described as replica wormholes, with the resulting prescription known as the island formula - yields an entanglement entropy for the radiation that follows the Page curve rather than rising forever. It is widely regarded as the most significant development on the information problem since it was posed. It is not a resolution: the calculation tells you what the entropy does without identifying the mechanism by which information leaves, and the physical interpretation is disputed.
A node is not a place. Drawing it on a map would assert something about the world that no stored fact supports.

- States the entanglement-entropy behaviour that unitary evaporation requires, now known as the Page curve. V55 VERIFICATION BASIS: not consulted in session; no research tool was available. Volume and page are from recall and must be checked. The 2019-2020 island and replica-wormhole papers that reproduce this curve are deliberately NOT cited anywhere in this pack, because their authors and venues could not be confirmed.
