Zoroastrian migrants reach Gujarat — the Parsi settlement

The Qissa-i Sanjan, a Parsi verse account composed around 1599, records the arrival of Zoroastrian migrants from Khorasan in Gujarat by sea via Hormuz and Diu. The year in the text reads as either 716 or 936 CE depending on how its numerals are interpreted, and estimates in the literature span the eighth to tenth centuries; some archaeological argument favours the earlier, eighth-century range. A tradition displaced from its state used the same maritime trade route that carried other traditions outward.
