Plague strikes the besieging army at Kaffa
node
Plague breaks out among Golden Horde forces besieging the Genoese port of Kaffa in the Crimea. Gabriele de' Mussi, writing shortly afterwards and not present, records that the besiegers catapulted corpses over the walls, and that fleeing Genoese ships carried the disease west.
A node is not a place. Drawing it on a map would assert something about the world that no stored fact supports.
