Okavango Delta inscribed as the 1000th World Heritage site

The World Heritage Committee inscribed the Okavango Delta on 22 June 2014 as the 1,000th World Heritage site, on IUCN's recommendation, recognising a seasonally flooded inland delta supporting threatened large mammals.
