Deep drilling results from Enewetak (Eniwetok) Atoll, Marshall Islands

Boreholes on Enewetak in 1952 passed through more than a kilometre of reef carbonate before reaching volcanic basement, the stratigraphy predicted by Darwin's subsidence theory. V55 verification basis: not consulted — the report could not be retrieved and the specific part number, page and exact basement depths are deliberately not given rather than invented.
