The core of 2Africa is completed

Meta announced completion of the core of the 2Africa system, an open-access cable encircling the African continent and landing in 33 countries across three continents, with the Pearls extension to South Asia and the Gulf due in 2026 to bring the full system to about 45,000 km. Planned Red Sea landings for this and other systems had been delayed by the security situation off Yemen.
