Belize's reef is removed from the List of World Heritage in Danger

node

After Belize legislated an indefinite moratorium on offshore petroleum activity in its waters and strengthened mangrove protections, the World Heritage Committee removed the Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System from the Danger List, where it had sat since 2009. It is one of the clearest cases of the Danger listing operating as intended — as leverage that produced a policy change, rather than as a record of decline.

A node is not a place. Drawing it on a map would assert something about the world that no stored fact supports.
