Fire destroys most of Chartres Cathedral

node

A fire consumes the greater part of the cathedral, sparing the west front with its towers and Royal Portal and the crypt containing the relic of the Virgin's tunic. The survival of the relic is treated as a sign that rebuilding is willed, and the rebuilding begins almost immediately - which is how a mature High Gothic building comes to be built in a single fast campaign rather than accreting over centuries.

A node is not a place. Drawing it on a map would assert something about the world that no stored fact supports.
