Darby smelts iron with coke at Coalbrookdale
node
Abraham Darby I, having leased a furnace at Coalbrookdale in Shropshire the previous year, produced iron using coke instead of charcoal. The immediate product was thin cast cookware rather than forge-grade iron, and adoption elsewhere took another half-century, but the substitution broke the link between the output of the iron trade and the acreage of managed woodland.
A node is not a place. Drawing it on a map would assert something about the world that no stored fact supports.
