The Great Barrier Reef is inscribed on the World Heritage List
node
The reef is inscribed as a natural World Heritage property, one of the earliest and among the largest ever listed. The inscription later became a mechanism of leverage rather than only recognition: subsequent reviews of whether the property should be listed as World Heritage in Danger have repeatedly forced the Australian government to publish reef condition assessments and water-quality commitments it would not otherwise have made on that schedule.
A node is not a place. Drawing it on a map would assert something about the world that no stored fact supports.
