First through Paris–Constantinople run entirely by rail

With the Balkan gaps closed, the Orient Express runs from Paris to Constantinople without ferry or steamer for the first time, a journey widely reported as taking 67 hours 35 minutes. The luxury is unchanged; what has changed is the civil engineering underneath it. The train that had been an assembly of connections becomes a single continuous ride, six years after it was first sold as one.
