Rohan Vos's new private operator leaves Pretoria with one locomotive, seven carriages and four paying passengers, on a route into the eastern Transvaal. The company will build a business on colonial-era Cape-gauge alignments across southern and eastern Africa, including the long run to Dar es Salaam — routes laid for ore, administration and settlement, sold as itineraries.
