SEA-ME-WE 5 is ready for service

node

The nineteen-operator consortium brought into service a cable of about 20,000 km linking Singapore to France and Italy through seventeen countries, with an ultimate design capacity given as 24 Tbps. Its route is the Europe–Asia corridor in its standard form: Malacca, the Indian Ocean, the Bab el-Mandeb, the Red Sea, an overland crossing of Egypt, and the Mediterranean.

A node is not a place. Drawing it on a map would assert something about the world that no stored fact supports.
