UNESCO inscribes Silk Roads: the Routes Network of Chang'an-Tianshan Corridor, a transnational serial property of 33 component sites in China, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan spanning roughly 5,000 km. The plural in the title is deliberate: the property recognises a network of corridors rather than a single road.
