Satellite telemetry from eleven pygmy blue whales tagged off Western Australia is published, with tracks of 8 to 308 days covering a mean of 3,009 km and a maximum of 14,101 km. It is the most detailed migration record for any blue whale subspecies, and the contrast with the Antarctic subspecies - two published tracks in total - is a statement about research access rather than about the animals.
