Sydney runs its first race as the seventh Major
node
The Sydney Marathon, elevated to the series on 4 November 2024, runs its first race as an Abbott World Marathon Major. The set of six that defined the sport for twelve years becomes a set of seven, and the "six star" medal stops describing the whole series.
