Kennedy Space Center Launch Complex 39B

The Artemis launch pad, about 2.7 km north of 39A. In the Apollo era it launched Apollo 10 and, using a pedestal known as the 'milkstool' to raise the smaller Saturn IB, the Skylab crews and the Apollo–Soyuz Test Project. It flew Space Shuttle missions from 1986. It has since been rebuilt as a 'clean pad' with three lightning towers and no fixed service structure, all umbilical and access hardware riding on a mobile launcher. Artemis I lifted off from here in November 2022 and Artemis II in April 2026.
