Val Thorens

Val Thorens is the purpose-built resort at the head of the Belleville valley and, at 2,300 m, the highest ski resort in Europe. Its altitude gives one of the longest seasons in France, opening in late November with a festival weekend and running into early May across 150 km of local pistes. As the western anchor of Les 3 Vallées it appeals to snow-sure, mileage-hungry skiers and lively groups. The season typically runs late November to early May; opening dates, snow and lift status are confirmed only with the resort.
