RMS Olympic

The class leader and Titanic's elder sister, yard number 400, launched in October 1910 and in service from June 1911. She collided with the cruiser HMS Hawke in September 1911 under Captain Smith, an incident that delayed Titanic's completion. After 1912 she was refitted with a double skin, raised bulkheads and boats for all. As a wartime troopship known as Old Reliable she rammed and sank the submarine U-103 in 1918. She was withdrawn in 1935 and broken up over the following two years.
