Dresden Elbe Valley deleted — the second removal, by a vote of 14 to 5

node

At the 33rd session in Seville in June 2009 the Committee voted 14 in favour, 5 against, with 2 abstentions, to delete the Dresden Elbe Valley, finding that construction of the four-lane Waldschlösschen bridge through the heart of the cultural landscape meant the property had failed to keep the Outstanding Universal Value for which it was inscribed in 2004. The property had been danger listed in 2006, and in 2008 the Committee had explicitly warned that deletion would follow in 2009 if construction were not halted and the damage reversed. It was not.

A node is not a place. Drawing it on a map would assert something about the world that no stored fact supports.
