Curitiba opens the first bus rapid transit corridors
node
Curitiba inaugurated the first twenty kilometres of segregated express bus lanes along its structural axes, carrying on the order of tens of thousands of passengers a day at the outset. It was conceived explicitly as an affordable substitute for a metro, and became the reference design for systems in roughly two hundred cities.
A node is not a place. Drawing it on a map would assert something about the world that no stored fact supports.
