The Camino de Santiago is an 800-kilometre pilgrimage route ending at the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia. Walked since the ninth century by pilgrims seeking the tomb of Saint James. Today three hundred thousand walkers per year — secular and devout — complete it. The credential booklet stamped at each albergue is the node proof.
