Cologne Cathedral
Domkloster, Cologne, Germany
Legendary · held by 195 collectors
Cologne Cathedral was the tallest structure in the world from 1880 to 1884 and remains the largest Gothic church in northern Europe. Its twin spires rise 157 metres above the Rhine, visible from twenty kilometres. Begun in 1248, construction was paused for three centuries and resumed only in the nineteenth century — completed after 632 years. The Shrine of the Three Kings inside draws pilgrims still.
