Amiens Cathedral

Amiens Cathedral is the largest Gothic cathedral in France by volume — its nave vault reaches 42.3 metres, surpassed only by Beauvais. Built between 1220 and 1270 in a single sustained campaign, it is the most complete example of High Gothic architecture: every capital, portal, and choir stall original. Ruskin called it "the Parthenon of Gothic architecture."
